Osun election: Why Gov Adeleke is not in APC – Wike reveals

Daily Post about 2 hours 2 mins read

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has disclosed that Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State would have been in the All Progressives Congress, APC, if things had worked well.

Wike explained that Adeleke has never been critical of the federation government.

Addressing a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, the minister said: “Adeleke has never been too critical about the government, Adeleke would have been with them (APC) if things had worked out well.

“They believed that they won the Federal government, what happened in the FCT election? That one was rigged, if they had won, it would have been a template that they defeated the federal government but when they lost; the government manipulated the process.

“They should be able to know that this government from what I have seen in terms of allowing processes to run their own way, you must give them that credit.

“You don’t need to like anybody who is in charge or not.

“I was on vacation and I called Governor Adeleke on Saturday to ask him how the election was going. He said it was going well, and I reminded him that I told him not to worry.”
