Palmer extends Chelsea contract until 2034

Chelsea have announced that England international Cole Palmer has signed a new contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2034.

The club confirmed the extension on Saturday through a statement published on its official website, expressing delight at securing the future of the 24-year-old attacking midfielder.

Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in August 2023 and has since recorded 91 goal contributions in 138 appearances, winning the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Conference League.

“Chelsea means a lot to me and I think the club is going in the right direction, so I’m delighted to sign and I’m obviously very happy,” Palmer said.

The midfielder added that discussions with the club’s owners, sporting directors and manager gave him the confidence to commit his future to Chelsea.

He also said the shared ambition among the players to win major trophies influenced his decision to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer enjoyed an outstanding debut season in 2023/24, scoring 25 goals and providing 19 assists across all competitions.

His performances earned him Chelsea’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season awards, alongside the Premier League Young Player of the Season and Professional Footballers’ Association Young Player of the Year honours.
