PHOTOS: Ekiti Residents Go To The Polls As Election Holds In 16 LGAs

 

Ekiti residents are turning out in large numbers at polling units across the state on Saturday to cast their votes in the 2026 governorship election.

The exercise, conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is taking place across the state’s 16 local government areas.

Many voters arrived at their polling units as early as 7:00 a.m., although voting did not commence until about 8:30 a.m. in most locations.

Security personnel were deployed across various polling units to monitor the exercise and maintain peace and order during the election. Election observers were also present at polling centres to assess and monitor the conduct of the process.
