The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested three young men over the alleged beating to death of a 50-year-old man, Ibrahim Muhammad, in Kadarbu village, Fufore Local Government Area of the state.
The arrests were disclosed in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje.
According to the statement, the incident occurred at about 9 pm on Saturday, September 12, after the Mai Unguwar Kadarbu reported that some individuals had attacked Muhammad at his residence and beaten him to death.
The police said that following the commencement of an investigation, officers arrested Ibrahim Ahmadu, 30; Buba Bala, 22; and Yahaya Bala, 20, in connection with the incident.
The suspects allegedly confessed to taking part in the attack and told investigators that they carried it out alongside two other individuals who are currently at large.
The command said the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Yola for further investigation.
