The incident was also confirmed to DAILY POST by the Coordinator, Joint Security Watch, Kwara South, Comrade Zubair Olaitan.

He disclosed that a search and rescue mission had been launched by a combined team of soldiers, police, local vigilantes, hunters and members of Sunday Igboho’s Iru-Ekun group to rescue the monarch.

Although the exact whereabouts of the abducted monarch remained unclear, the state Commissioner of Police, who confirmed the development, clarified that no other person was kidnapped aside from the monarch.

The police boss said, “Efforts are in top gear to rescue the victim.
