Portugal: Brazil legend Romario reveals Ronaldo’s biggest mistake against Jorge Jesus

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Brazil legend, Romario has backed Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo in his explosive row with Jorge Jesus, insisting the forward’s only mistake was not telling the head coach to “go to hell” sooner.

Speaking on the Charla Podcast, the 1994 World Cup winner said Ronaldo was right to walk out of the national team camp after being left on the bench against Norway despite warming up.

According to him, the Al-Nassr stat felt betrayed by Jesus, who didn’t keep his promise.

“Ronaldo’s grievance was very clear to me. According to him, Jorge Jesus did not keep his promise,” Romario said.

“So he felt disrespected and left. If I were in his position, I would do the same. The mistake [he made] was not telling him [Jorge Jesus] to go to hell!”
