Protest in Plateau over death of 23 residents in bandit attack [VIDEO]

Residents of Plateau State have reportedly taken to the streets in protest following a midnight assault on Binper community in the Bwai District of Mangu Local Government Area.

DAILY POST recalls that the community had earlier been thrown into mourning following a violent midnight raid by suspected gunmen who targeted sleeping residents.

According to accounts shared by the National President of the Mwaghavul Development Association, MDA, Bulus Dabit, the assailants arrived in large numbers with sophisticated weapons, moving from house to house.

“The attackers in their numbers and with sophisticated weapons, moved from house to house, forcing their way in and attacking residents in their sleep, resulting in the casualty of those killed and others wounded,” Dabit stated.
