PRP candidate’s younger brother loses three children to Abuja flood

The younger brother of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) 2027 senatorial candidate for Bauchi South, Shehu Aliyu Musa, has lost his three children to flooding in Abuja.

The children, identified as Maryam, Umar and Hanifah, were swept away by floodwaters four days ago.

The PRP Bauchi State chapter said the body of Umar, the male child, had been recovered, while the bodies of the two girls were yet to be found as of October 4.

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has condoled with the children’s father, Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu Musa, over the tragic incident.

Abubakar is the younger brother of Shehu Aliyu Musa, the PRP candidate for Bauchi South in the 2027 senatorial election.

In a condolence message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, Governor Mohammed described the loss of the three children as devastating and painful.

The governor said, “On behalf of my family, the Government and the good people of Bauchi State, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu Musa and his entire family over the tragic loss of his beloved children, Maryam, Umar and Hanifah.

“This is indeed a devastating moment, and words are inadequate to express the depth of our sorrow and sympathy.

“We pray Almighty Allah to grant the departed children Aljannatul Firdaus and give their parents, siblings and loved ones the strength, patience and fortitude to bear this great loss.”

He added that the government and people of Bauchi State stood in solidarity with the bereaved family and shared in their grief.

The PRP Bauchi State chapter also expressed condolences to Shehu Aliyu Musa, Abubakar Aliyu Musa and the entire family over the tragedy.
