Terrorist leader Kachalla Maha, who has been linked to the killing of General Rabe, has claimed that he receives advance information on military operations planned against his camp, alleging that some security personnel assigned to attack him are his informants.
In an audio recording circulating on social media, Maha claimed that security forces sent to conduct operations against his group usually inform him before arriving, allowing him to prepare ahead of the attacks.
He further alleged that he receives summaries of security strategies, including information relating to high-level operations involving the government.
“I receive a summary of all security strategies including the President,” he added.
The claims have sparked concerns over possible intelligence leaks and infiltration within security structures responsible for combating terrorism and banditry in Nigeria.
Maha, a notorious terrorist figure operating in the North-West, has been accused of involvement in violent attacks, killings and other criminal activities affecting communities in the region.
The allegation comes amid ongoing security challenges in parts of Northern Nigeria, where terrorist and bandit groups have continued to carry out attacks, abductions and raids on communities.
Maha’s claims have renewed calls for investigations into the security system and the need to strengthen operational secrecy among agencies involved in counter-terrorism efforts.
Authorities have not publicly confirmed the authenticity of the claims or provided a detailed response to the allegations contained in the recording.
