Strait of Hormuz: No commitment made for nuclear inspection – Iran

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Iran has said that it has not made any commitment on its nuclear programme after meeting with the US delegates in Switzerland.

This development came despite the United Nations’ nuclear agency chief’s insistence that inspections would take place.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei, said that UN inspectors were not scheduled to examine nuclear sites bombed by the US last year.

This contradicts US Vice President JD Vance, who previously said the negotiations in Switzerland had secured an agreement for the inspectors to visit the sites.

Meanwhile, technical teams have been working on the details of the deal after high-level negotiations in Switzerland on Monday, led by Vance and Iran’s parliamentary Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf.
