Suspect confesses to beheading woman after first meeting in Adamawa hotel

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

A 27-year-old self-confessed murderer, Ali Haruna, has recounted how he had sex with his victim, beheaded her and drank her blood.

Haruna, whose permanent address is given as Kaleri in Maiduguri, Borno State, but who lives in Digno, a community in Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State, had earlier told Adamawa State Police Command investigators that he killed his female companion in a hotel in Girei Local Government Area of the state.

Haruna was arrested last Friday, August 14, on suspicion of beheading the woman, identified simply as Aisha, at a hotel called No Vex in Girei.

During an interaction with journalists on Monday at the police headquarters in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, Haruna recalled that while at the hotel, he and Aisha smoked Indian hemp and had sex, even though it was the first time they had met.

Speaking on the matter, the Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, assured that Haruna would remain in police detention until the conclusion of the investigation, after which he would be charged in court.
