Tech4Dev Appoints Abraham Akpan as Nigeria, Sub-Sahara Africa  Country Manager

Technology for Social Change and Development Initiative (Tech4Dev), a global non-profit organisation driving economic mobility for young, underserved populations by equipping them with high-quality technology knowledge and skills to access decent jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities, has appointed Abraham Akpan as Country Manager for Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.

The appointment is a key milestone in Tech4Dev’s growth strategy as the organisation builds on its presence in 30 African countries and continues to scale its programs, partnerships, and policy engagement into additional countries in the region. Akpan’s leadership will support efforts to deliver on Tech4Dev’s 2030 vision of expanding access to economic opportunities at scale through inclusive skills development, leveraging artificial intelligence.

Akpan brings over a decade of experience across Africa’s technology, innovation, and development ecosystem. A 2021 Mandela Washington Fellow, he has led and delivered high-impact programs focused on organisational growth, human capital development, and inclusive economic opportunity across multiple African countries.

Prior to this appointment, Akpan served as Chief Operating Officer at Taltrix, where he led workforce solutions connecting African talent to global opportunities. In his new role, he will oversee strategic partnerships, programmes development, and regional operations, strengthening Tech4Dev’s capacity to expand pathways to economic prosperity and mobility for young people across Africa.

Reacting to his appointment,  Akpan said:
