Tinubu drug allegation: We’re ready to defend ourselves – US firm dares lawsuit

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

A United States-based policy advisory and lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, has expressed readiness to defend any intending lawsuit over its report of an alleged drug trafficking record linked to Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu.

Von Batten-Montague-York, said this in a statement posted on its verified X handle on Friday.

Recall that former member of the House of Representatives, Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma, had threatened to sue the firm over a report that allegedly linked President Tinubu to drug trafficking.

“The Nigerian Presidency and co. are predictable and desperate. We fully expected that, following our lawsuit, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and his allies would attempt to intimidate us into dropping the lawsuit by threatening to sue us for everything under the sun.

“President Tinubu and co will next threaten to sue us for saying that the moon is not made of cheese.

“We are prepared to defend ourselves in court. We welcome any opportunity to have a US court deliberate on reports of President Tinubu’s ongoing attempts to deny the Nigerian people free and fair elections,” the firm tweeted.
