Transfer: Chelsea receive offer for Garnacho as Alonso considers future of four stars

Chelsea has received a transfer offer from Aston Villa for their winger Alejandro Garnacho, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

Garnacho faced a challenging first season at Stamford Bridge after his £40 million transfer from Manchester United last summer, managing to score only once in the Premier League.

The Argentina international was previously regarded as one of the most promising talents at Old Trafford, but his career at United faltered due to conflicts with several managers.

Garnacho aimed to rejuvenate his career at Chelsea, the club he supported during his youth, yet he found it difficult to make a significant impact under both Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior last season.

The arrival of Xabi Alonso at Stamford Bridge this summer does not seem to have altered Garnacho’s fortunes, as the new Blues manager has confirmed that the club is considering interest from other teams.

Garnacho missed the beginning of Chelsea’s pre-season training, with reports indicating that the club is eager to facilitate a permanent transfer of the 23-year-old for a fee of approximately £34 million.

Roma is reportedly interested in signing Garnacho, but the Italian club may encounter competition from Aston Villa, who have submitted a bid to secure his services.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Aston Villa has put forth an initial proposal for a loan deal concerning Garnacho, which includes an option for a permanent transfer.

Unai Emery is reportedly a strong admirer of Garnacho and has nodded to the club’s move for the Argentine, having previously attempted to secure his signature last summer prior to his transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Aston Villa is also pursuing a deal for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, who is making a return to the Premier League following an unsuccessful loan spell at Bayern Munich.

In addition to Jackson, Alonso is considering Liam Delap, Emmanuel Emegha, Marc Guiu, and Joao Pedro as potential striker options, as the club aims to streamline that position ahead of the upcoming season.

Emery and Jackson have previously collaborated at Villarreal, with Chelsea allegedly setting a £65 million asking price for the Senegalese forward.
