Transfer: I’m flabbergasted – Paul Merson names two players Arsenal should sign as Trossard’s replacement

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has named two players the Gunners should sign as Leandro Trossard’s replacement.

Merson is not happy that Arsenal sold the Belgium international to Beşiktaş for the ‘price of a cup of tea.’

Trossard recently joined the Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas on a permanent transfer.

In his column for Sky Sports, Merson said he was flabbergasted by Arsenal’s decision to sell Trossard, adding that the Gunners should sign one of Paris Saint-Germain’s wingers, Desire Doue or Bradley Barcola, as his replacement.

“Arsenal will have to go and get another left winger. They will have to try and get Desire Doue or Bradley Barcola from PSG,” Merson said.

“I cannot believe they sold Leandro Trossard. I’m flabbergasted by it. They sold him for the price of a cup of tea.”
