Former Newcastle United manager, Alan Pardew, has claimed that Arsenal’s proposed move for Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior is a ‘done deal’.
Pardew believes the Gunners will end up bringing Vinicius to the Emirates Stadium this summer transfer window, adding that it would be a great signing for the Premier League champions.
Arsenal is interested in signing Vinicius after the Brazilian international entered the final 12 months of his contract at Real Madrid.
Vinicius and the Los Blancos have so far failed to reach an agreement over a possible renewal.
As things stand, Real Madrid will have to sell the 26-year-old this summer or risk the chance of losing him for free next year.
Speaking on the development, Pardew said on talkSPORT, “What a signing that would be. I think this is a deal that will happen.
“The reason I think that is he’s got history with Jose Mourinho, he is at Real Madrid; he has a year left on his contract. They have been trying to get him to sign a new deal for a long time now.
“When you think about the other side of the coin, you are playing for the champions Arsenal, they will put you in a house in Regent’s Park, you can fly in and fly out your family at will because you will have enough finance to do it. I think it’s a tempting proposition.
“That is a done deal in my book. I think that is going to happen, more so than Bruno Guimaraes. I think it is their number one target and probably has been for a while.”
