Manchester United have officially announced the signing of English-Nigerian prospect David Eze.
Eze has joined the Red Devils Academy, leaving Manchester City.
The English Football Association had previously indicated that the 16-year-old’s transfer to Manchester United was finalised after designating Manchester United as his club in their squad announcement for England’s youth teams.
Operating as a central midfielder, the talented teenager is understood to have executed a scholarship agreement and will be permitted to sign his inaugural professional contract from March 2027, upon reaching the age of 17.
He was on Manchester City’s roster for eight years and has represented England’s Young Lions at U15 and U16 levels.

In separate news, German-Nigerian forward Noah Ajayi has pledged his commitment to Manchester United by executing a long-term professional contract.
The 17-year-old, who represents Germany at the U19 international level, made his competitive debut in the UEFA Youth League during the current season.
The Hamburg-born player was an instrumental contributor to the United squad that advanced to last season’s FA Youth Cup final, registering two goals across five appearances in the tournament.
