Transfer: Monday completes move to MLS club, Boston Legacy FC

Super Falcons striker, Gift Monday has joined Major League Soccer, MLS, club Boston Legacy FC on a permanent transfer.

Boston Legacy FC signed Monday from another MLS club, Washington Spirit for $500,000.

The 24-year-old registered 12 goals and three assists in 48 regular season matches for Washington Spirit.

Monday, who is currently on international duty with Nigeria for the 2028 Olympic Games qualifier against Comoros, is excited with the move.

“I’m very happy and honored to be here today as I officially join this wonderful club,” Monday told the club’s official website.

The forward featured for  Nigerian clubs FC Robo  and COD United Amazons before moving to Spain to play for CD Tenerife.

Monday made more than 65 appearances for CD Tenerife, recording 26 goal contributions across nearly 4,500 minutes.
