Transfer: Osimhen not perfect for Arsenal – Smith

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Arsenal legend, Alan Smith has claimed that Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen is not the right tactical or financial fit for Arsenal.

Osimhen has been linked with the Premier League champions, among other top European clubs, this summer.

But speaking to Gooners News, Smith warned Arsenal to carefully consider whether they want to make a huge investment in the Super Eagles’ talisman.

According to him, Osimhen could disrupt the team chemistry in Mikel Arteta’s squad.

“I don’t know how much truth there is in that.

“When Osimhen went from Napoli to Galatasaray, I think most people probably thought, ‘Oh, his chance to go to the Premier League may be over there.’ But he can score goals.

“I think Arsenal do need a centre-forward; it’s about getting the right one, so that’ll be an interesting one to see how it develops, if it does develop,” Smith said.
