Transfer: Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez blocks move for Rodri

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, is reportedly blocking the LaLiga club’s bid to sign Rodri from Manchester City this summer.

It is understood that Rodri is desperate for a return to Spain, where he played for Atletico Madrid in the past.

But Perez is not keen on the player, as new manager Jose Mourinho begins preseason training with the squad.

City have also tabled a fresh contract for Rodri, whose current deal expires next summer.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Rodri would love a return to Spain and dreams of Real Madrid, clear since months.

“At same time, Florentino Pérez has always blocked this deal or any negotiations for Rodri this summer.

“Man City new contract proposal, on the table since April.”
