Troops neutralise bandits in Zamfara

Daily Post March 26, 2026 1 mins read

Troops have neutralised several bandits operating in Zamfara State, in what appears to be a move to curb attacks on travelers in the area.

The development was contained in a post shared on Wednesday on X by security analyst Bakatsine.

According to the post, the operation took place around Gadar Manya on the outskirts of Anka Local Government Area.

The bandits were said to be responsible for blocking the Gurusu–Gwashi route, where they reportedly carried out kidnappings and attacks on road users.

“This evening, Troops neutralized several bandits in Gadar Manya outskirts, Anka LGA, Zamfara State. The group were known for blocking the Gurusu-Gwashi way and abducting travelers.

“Kudos to the troops for their bravery and continued commitment in restoring peace,” Bakatsine wrote.
