Turkey: Osimhen nears return to training after injury

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is expected to return to individual training before the end of this week following his injury layoff, DAILY POST reports.

Osimhen sustained the injury during Galatasaray’s win over Istanbul Başakşehir last month.

The Nigeria international has missed the Yellow-Reds’ last three matches across all competitions.

The injury forced the forward to miss Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.

According to a report in the Turkish newspaper, Sabah, Osimhen’s treatment is progressing successfully.

The 27-year-old is expected to feature in Galatasaray’s Turkish Süper Lig clash with Kasimpasa after the international break.

That would put him in contention to start the UEFA Champions League home clash with Barcelona.
