Two residents have been rescued from the rubble of a collapsed one-storey building located at Kubwa 2/2 by Yellow Pages, Abuja.
A statement by Nkechi Isa of the Department of Development Control and the FCT Police Command noted that the residential building comprising 6 blocks of flats collapsed at about 11.30 AM on Friday.
Following the incident, the statement said that the FCT Emergency Management Department (FEMD) received a distress call about the incident at about 11.38 AM on the same day, and saw that the right segment of the building collapsed, trapping two tenants living in a ground-floor apartment.

Other residents of the building were reported to have been out for the day.
The command said household items were destroyed in the incident, after which the two victims of the incident were taken to the Kubwa General Hospital and are in stable condition.
