U-19 Youth League: NLO warns clubs over registration discrepancies

The Nationwide League One, NLO, has warned clubs against registration discrepancies and age falsification ahead of the 2026 U-19 Youth League.

In a statement, the league body said violators face immediate disqualification from the competition, and additional sanctions from the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

The NLO said it has put in place a rigorous verification process for player registration.

All players data, including birth certificates, National Identification Number, NIN, and previous club passports, will be thoroughly validated.

The league reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy on administrative fraud, particularly concerning player documents and age cheating.

The warning comes as clubs begin preparations for the youth league, which the NLO says is designed to provide a credible pathway for young Nigerian players into professional football.
