U-20 WWC: Falconets edge Poland 1-0 in pre-tournament friendly

Nigeria’s Falconets defeated Poland 1-0 in a friendly at the Municipal Stadium, Brzeg, on Friday, DAILY POST reports.

Mary Mamud scored the decisive goal in the first-half stoppage time.

No goal was recorded in the second half despite both teams creating a number of clear-cut chances.

The Falconets will now shift attention to their next friendly against Korea Republic.

The encounter is scheduled for the Remes Resort & Spa Football Stadium on Tuesday, September 1. It will kick off at 4pm local time.

Moses Aduku’s side are gearing up for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Nigeria will face Spain, China, and debutants New Caledonia in Group F.

The Falconets will begin their campaign against Spain on Monday, 7 September.
