UCL: Oliseh names world’s best player, says Mbappe did PSG favour

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, has named Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele as the best player in the world at the moment.

The former Juventus midfielder stated this on the Sunday Oliseh Global Football insights show while insisting that French captain, Kylian Mbappe did PSG a favour by leaving the Parisians to join Real Madrid two seasons ago.

Recall that Mbappe rejected a new contract from PSG at the beginning of the 2023/2024 campaign after the French Ligue 1 champions turned down an offer of €120m from Real Madrid for his signature.

“I will say that [Kylian] Mbappe did PSG a favour because prior to his exit, it was said that he called the shots at the club,” Oliseh said.

“Players are now saying if they don’t run, they don’t play. When you hear things like that from Dembele, who is the best player in the World, that tells you that PSG has totally evolved.

“This is the evolution of football. They are now in the Champions League final with practically the same team for twenty-four months.”
