Former Beşiktaş and Villarreal forward Nihat Kahveci has claimed that midfielder Lucas Torreira is as important as Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray.
According to Kahveci, Torreira proved it during Galatasaray’s 3-1 UEFA Champions League defeat to Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday.
Speaking on the Kontraspor YouTube channel, Kahveci said, “Lucas Torreira is at least as important as Osimhen at Galatasaray.
“He proved that again. Sign Torreira along with Osimhen, and treat them with the utmost care.”
Osimhen did not play for Galatasaray against Sporting because he is currently recovering from a groin injury.
Galatasaray’s next match is against Kocaelispor in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.
