Argentina tennis player, Mariano Navone, has hailed his Serbian counterpart, Novak Djokovic, as the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT).

Navone spoke after he defeated Djokovic during a US Open first-round match on Sunday in New York.

The 25-year-old won 7-6 (7-5), 5-7, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 against Djokovic in a five-set marathon that lasted four hours and 36 minutes.

Speaking after defeating the 24-time Grand Slam champion, Navone said at his post-match press conference, “I saw him in the fifth set with a little injury, also in the fourth set with some tired moments. But this is Novak, the GOAT.

“He always found the key to beating someone,” he added.
