WAFCON 2026: Super Falcons step up preparations as 19 players hit camp

Nineteen players are now in the Super Falcons camp in Casablanca ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, DAILY POST reports.

Six more players, including Michelle Alozie, Deborah Abiodun, Gift Monday, Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi, and Uchenna Kanu are expected at the team’s Hotel Marriott, Casablanca base this week.

Justine Madugu’s side will continue their preparations with another training session at the La Noria Club tonight.

The defending champions set up camp in Casablanca for the WAFCON 2026 finals last Monday.

The Super Falcons are expected to move to Rabat for the competition this weekend.

Nigeria’s opening fixture against the Scorchers of Malawi will hold at the Al Madina Stadium, Rabat on Tuesday, 28 July.

They will also face Zambia, and Egypt in the same group.
