Edo Queens booked a place in the semi-finals of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League following a 3-1 victory over ASEC Mimosas on Thursday night.
The Nigerian champions started the game strongly and took the lead through Oluwakemi Adegbuyi in the 23rd minute.
Doosuur Atume doubled Kennedy Boboye’s side two minutes before the break.
ASEC Mimosas fought back in the second half and pulled a goal back to reduce the deficit.
Oluebube Umajiaku, however, sealed the victory for Edo Queens in the 89th minute when she found the back of the net to make it 3-1.
The Benin City club, who thrashed AS Garde Nationale of Niger Republic 7-0 in their opening fixture, top Group B with six points.
They will face Ampem Darkoa Ladies of Ghana in their last group game on Sunday.
