United States has launched an additional round of air strikes against Iran, making it the four consecutive strikes in a row.
The US Central Command, CENTCOM, made this disclosure in a statement late Tuesday night.
According to the statement, the United States hit dozens of military targets near the Strait of Hormuz and Iranian coastal areas.
It said the operation occurred during what it described as a seven-hour wave of attacks to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping and civilian crews.
CENTCOM further stated that the strikes took place the same day the US reimposed a naval blockade against vessel traveling to or from Iranian ports.
“We completed an additional round of strikes against Iran at 10 p.m. ET, July 14, hitting dozens of military targets near the Strait of Hormuz and Iranian coastal areas.
“The US forces remain vigilant, lethal, and prepared to execute operations directed by the Commander in Chief,” CENTCOM said.
