‘We can’t be fooled’ – Iran reveals who’s responsible for crisis in Middle East

Daily Post about 2 hours 2 mins read

Iran has accused the United States of America of contributing to the instability in the Middle East.

Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, made this statement in response to comments made by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio regarding armed groups in the region.

Baghaei dismissed Rubio’s assertions that linked regional instability to groups supported by Iran, contending that American policies are the primary barrier to achieving peace in the Middle East.

“No one will be fooled,” he posted on X, along with a video of Rubio denouncing armed groups based in Iraq, as well as Hezbollah and Hamas.

“A peaceful region cannot exist as long as American militarism and interventionism continue, and their occupying proxy [Israel] remains free to carry out endless wars throughout the region, committing genocide, acts of terror, and various atrocities.”

In a related development, Rubio announced on Wednesday that technical discussions between the US and Iran are scheduled to take place in Switzerland early next week.

“The technical team is expected to return, I believe, on the 29th or 30th… I think they are heading back to Switzerland, if I am not mistaken,” Marco Rubio stated.
