Legendary Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia known by his stage name, 2Baba has condemned the violence by armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
DAILY POST reports that many residents of Otukpo have been gruesomely murdered in Otukpo since the begining of 2026 due to a series of unprovoked attacked by the herdsmen.
The singer on Wednesday visited Otukpo-Nobi, a community in the LG where the assailants on July 12, 2026, launched a deadly attack, killing at least 10 residents and injuring several others.
Commiserating with members of the community during his visit, the Benue-born artiste scalled on stakeholders to immediately proffer solutions to the incessant attacks.
According to him, the killing has become too much and there must be a plan to halt further attacks by the daredevil criminal elements.
He said, “It’s becoming too much now, we can’t pretend anymore. We need to begin planning. It won’t be automatic but there is definitely going to be a solution.
“It’s not going to be one person, we all need to come together and fight it. I came to sympathise with you all. It’s painful”.
