‘What have you ever done’ – Rio Ferdinand questions Portugal over Ronaldo

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has questioned Portugal over Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ferdinand posted on X, calling for respect for Ronaldo’s career as he questioned criticism directed at the Al-Nassr forward in recent years.

This comes after Ronaldo left the Portugal team before their UEFA Nations League win against Denmark on Thursday.

“Where was Portugal before Cristiano Ronaldo? What have they ever done? Did they even qualify for tournaments? Let alone win anything,” Ferdinand said.

“What annoys me is that many people judge him on his last three or four years. He is still producing fantastic numbers for someone of his age.”

Ferdinand and Ronaldo were teammates at Manchester United, and they won both the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League.
