Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-term partner, Georgina Rodríguez, have reportedly agreed to keep their pre-marital assets separate under the terms of a marriage contract signed shortly before their wedding.
The couple reportedly tied the knot in an intimate civil ceremony in Lisbon on Tuesday, with their children and four witnesses said to have been present.
According to Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Notícias, Ronaldo and Georgina signed the agreement on August 10, a day before their reported wedding, at a public notary’s office in Lisbon.
The arrangement reportedly establishes separate ownership of their assets, meaning properties and other possessions acquired before their marriage will remain individually owned.
A copy of the couple’s marriage certificate published by Jornal de Notícias also reportedly revealed details about their identities, including Ronaldo’s full name, age and birthplace, as well as the names of his parents.
Georgina, 32, was listed as having been born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, while Ronaldo, 41, was identified as being from Madeira, Portugal.
The couple are also expected to retain their respective surnames following the marriage, with Georgina continuing to use Rodríguez rather than adopting Ronaldo’s surname.
The reported civil ceremony was officiated by registrar Maria Manuel Ferreira de Campos Folhadela de Oliveira, who travelled from Porto to Cascais for the occasion.
Ronaldo and Georgina have been together for several years, with their relationship frequently attracting attention because of the footballer’s global profile and substantial wealth.
The reported marriage contract provides a formal framework for how their assets will be treated, particularly in the event of separation or other changes to their marital circumstances.
