England midfielder, Jude Bellingham, appeared to be unimpressed by manager, Thomas Tuchel’s harsh assessment of the Three Lions’ display against Norway in the World Cup quarter-final on Saturday.
England defeated Norway 2-1 to progress to the semi-final, thanks to Bellingham’s brace.
After the game, Tuchel criticized his players at his post-match interview, telling ITV Sport that they made ‘tactical mistakes and he was not happy’ with their display.
Responding to Tuchel’s comments, Bellingham insisted at his post-match interview that he and his teammates put in a tough shift.
“Yeah, well… whatever. Whatever. It’s difficult out there. It’s a tough shift,” Bellingham said.
“All the players are putting in a tough shift. So my thoughts and appreciation go to the players who put in a good shift out there.”
