World Cup 2026: Sarr vows Senegal will bounce back from Norway defeat

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Senegal winger, Ismaila Sarr can’t hide his disappointment following the Terangha Lions’ defeat to Norway, DAILY POST reports.

Pape Thiaw’s side suffered their second defeat at the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026, going down 3-2 to Norway at the New York/New Jersey Stadium.

Norway joined France in the Round of 32 from the group.

Senegal now needs to beat Iraq in their last group game to have any chance of making it to the knockout round.

Sarr, who scored a brace for Senegal against Norway, said they will work hard to beat the Asians.

“It was tough. We’re a little disappointed. But it’s not over yet; there’s still a third game to play. We’re going to go there to win it, and we’re going to work hard,” Sarr was quoted by FIFA.com.
