World Cup 2026: Wayne Rooney names two countries to play final

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney, has named England and France to play the 2026 World Cup final.

Rooney spoke after England defeated Norway 2-1 in the World Cup quarter-final encounter on Saturday.

Recall that Jude Bellingham’s brace ensured England defeated Norway and will now face Argentina in the semi-final for a place in the final.

Asked to name two teams to play in the World Cup final, Rooney told BBC Sport, “England vs France.

“I think I’d rather face Argentina. I think Switzerland are really organised in how they play, and I think it could be a tricky game for England,” he added.
