Your attacks on Nigeria will hurt you in UK – Shehu Sani knocks Kemi Badenoch

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has taken a swipe at UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, over her comments on Nigeria.

In a post on his X handle on Friday, Sani said Badenoch’s constant negative remarks about her country of origin would affect how she is viewed in Britain.

According to Sani, Badenoch’s attempt to assert her British identity might be undermined by the way she talks about her Nigerian roots.

The former lawmaker said repeatedly painting Nigeria in bad light would not necessarily make her more acceptable to a Western audience, adding that people often get linked to the negative image they keep creating about their own country.

“Kemi is fighting hard to be identified as British and the Whites keep reminding her of her roots and where she belongs.

“This is a message to all; you can’t continuously tell the World that your ancestral homeland is full of evil and think that that will make you acceptable to the World,” he wrote.
