Youths clash with thugs over Tinubu campaign at Independence Day festival in Abuja [VIDEO]

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Tension erupted during an Independence Day festival at Triple R Monoliza Park in Abuja after youths resisted attempts to turn the event into a political rally in support of President Bola Tinubu.

A video making the rounds on social media showed angry youths chasing and hitting individuals described as political thugs who were allegedly attempting to turn the celebration into a campaign event.

The confrontation reportedly resulted in damage to equipment and chairs.

The incident comes days after youths at a 5-kilometre Independence Day run in Warri, Delta State, tore up branded polo shirts bearing Tinubu’s image and chanted in support of opposition figure, Peter Obi.
