Suspected bandits have attacked Tsafe town in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, abducting five residents during the attack.
The incident was disclosed on Saturday by crisis reporter in the Northwest region, Bakatsine, in a post shared via his X handle.
According to Bakatsine, the bandits stormed the town on Friday night, September 25, 2026, and opened fire before abducting the victims.
“How did bandits manage to storm a whole town like Tsafe, abduct five people and still get away?” he asked.
Photographs shared alongside the post showed bullet-scarred areas following the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, while the Zamfara State Police Command has yet to issue a statement on the incident.
The whereabouts and fate of the abducted residents remain unknown.
