Zamfara: GOC tasks troops to sustain offensive against terrorists

The General Officer Commanding, GOC, 8 Division and Commander, Sector 2, Operation Fansan Yamma, Maj.-Gen. Bemgba Koughna, has inspected forward operating bases across Zamfara State.

Koughna inspected troops’ tactical deployments, defensive positions and logistics preparedness during the operational tour.

The visit was also aimed at assessing the security situation in the areas of responsibility and identifying areas requiring adjustments to improve ongoing operations against terrorists and criminal networks.

The GOC interacted with troops and commended them for their resilience, dedication and sacrifices in the fight against insecurity.

He tasked the personnel to maintain an aggressive operational posture, sustain the momentum of ongoing operations and remain focused on restoring security across the state.

Koughna also urged the troops to remain professional and resolute while maintaining close cooperation with other security agencies and local communities.
