Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has ordered security agencies to remain on 24-hour alert and approved a Joint Security Task Force to strengthen the state’s response to emerging security threats.
Adeleke announced the measures after a State Security Council meeting chaired by his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, to review recent security alerts across the state.
He said the Joint Security Task Force would improve coordination, intelligence sharing and rapid response among security agencies.
Adeleke said his administration would provide the necessary logistics and support for the task force to begin operations.
The governor also directed security agencies to maintain heightened vigilance around churches, mosques, schools and other public places.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and report credible information to security agencies.
“Security is a collective responsibility, and timely information can save lives,” Adeleke said.
Adeleke said his administration would continue working with security agencies, traditional rulers and community leaders to protect lives and property across the state.
