AFCON 2027 qualifiers: Results of Match Day 2 fixtures

The 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers continued on Friday across the continent.

Nigeria produced a comeback to beat Madagascar 2-1 at home. George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor scored for the Super Eagles, to cancel out Ehsan Kari’s 16th minute opener.

Morocco claimed a 2-0 win over Gabon at home. Noussair Mazraoui opened the scoring in the 36th minute, before Soufiane Rahimi doubled their lead in the 84th minute.

Mali thrashed Cape Verde 3-1 and Mozambique played out a 1-1 draw with Senegal.

Algeria made a strong start to the qualifiers with a 3-1 victory over Zambia at the Tizi Ouzou Stadium.

Angola held Egypt to a goalless draw in Group D, while Burkina Faso and Benin played out a 1-1 draw in Group G.
