Barrow hails Sabi meeting as momentous

The Standard Gambia about 2 hours 1 mins read

President Barrow has spoken of his great delight at what he saw and heard at a meeting in Sabi Village in the URR during his current Meet The People Tour.

Writing on his official Facebook Page, Barrow PORG, the president said: “I was deeply moved by the warm reception from dozens of supporters who gathered to share their voices and hopes.

Listening to the speakers who are natives of this proud region, I heard testimonies of how unprecedented developments under my leadership have transformed their daily lives. From connecting roads and electricity supply to healthcare facilities and clean water which are dreams once distant.

The people of Sabi assured me of their massive support as we approach the December 2026 elections, to continue the development trajectory. I reaffirmed my commitment to inclusive development as every community deserves the infrastructure and services that uplift lives and open doors to opportunity.

I also commend my Alliance partners for standing firmly with me on this journey. Together, we are building a foundation of unity and progress that will carry The Gambia forward”.
