BBNaija S11 finale: After gambits, strikes, twists, who clinches N160 million grand prize tomorrow?

After more than two months of drama, evictions, alliances, twists and disciplinary actions, Big Brother Naija Season 11 is set to reach its climax tomorrow, Sunday with nine housemates left to battle for the N160 million grand prize.

The “Show Ya Sef” edition began on July 26 with 24 housemates, but the road to the finale proved far from straightforward. The finalists are Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram.

One of the season’s earliest twists was the introduction of the Gambit format, which saw Aikou and Flora selected through public voting to remain in the competition until the finale but initially remain ineligible for the grand prize. That changed several weeks later when Big Brother ended their Gambit status, allowing both housemates to compete for the money alongside the rest.

The season also produced a handful of dominant Head of House runs. Chimsom Chuka opened the season as the first HoH and later won the title for a second time in Week Five. Abi also became a two-time HoH after victories in Weeks Four and Six, while Barry joined the group after winning the Week Eight challenge and later claimed the final HoH title. Their success, however, did not guarantee a place in the final stages.

Abi was evicted alongside Araga in Week Seven, while Chimsom’s run ended in the week eight triple eviction alongside Yusuf and Bells, despite having held the HoH title twice.

Another major turning point came with Nomy. After repeatedly clashing with Big Brother’s instructions, Nomy received a strike described by Biggie as her “last and final warning.” On September 7, her participation privilege was revoked following another breach involving her Benchwarmer duties, bringing her BBNaija journey to an end.

As the finale approached, Barry produced one of the season’s biggest twists when he used his Ultimate Veto Power to choose “Immunity For All”, sending all 10 remaining housemates directly into the finale without a Week Nine eviction.

Keivo subsequently won the Week Nine HoH title, but his chance at the N160 million prize ended abruptly in the final week. His disagreement with Tram over a black shirt escalated into a physical confrontation. After reviewing footage of the incident, Big Brother identified Keivo as the perpetrator and disqualified him on September 29. That left nine finalists: Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram.

Who are viewers rooting for?

While the official voting figures for the current finalists have not been publicly broken down, unofficial fan polls have produced some indication of support for individual housemates.

Temi Nkem, for instance, recorded 31 per cent in an unofficial Week Three fan poll and later topped another online poll among nominated housemates in Week Six. However, the figures came from independent fan polls and do not represent official BBNaija voting results.

Ricky has also appeared strongly in unofficial online polling, although such figures vary depending on the platform and sample involved and cannot be used to determine the official voting race.

Aikou and Flora also have an interesting relationship with the audience. The pair entered the house as Gambits after viewers voted for them, meaning they already had a measure of public support before their eligibility for the grand prize was restored.

Barry’s journey has also shaped the final stretch. Beyond winning the Week Eight and final HoH titles, his decision to use the Ultimate Veto Power to grant all remaining housemates immunity changed the shape of the competition and effectively carried the group into the finale.

From Chimsom’s repeat HoH victories to Abi’s early dominance, Nomy’s disqualification, Barry’s game-changing veto decision and Keivo’s late exit, Season 11 has produced several twists that could shape how viewers remember the “Show Ya Sef” era. Now, with nine finalists left and the N160 million prize at stake, the season’s final question is no longer who can survive the Big Brother house, but who viewers will choose to crown its winner this Sunday.
