Former Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, on Saturday cast his vote at about 12:20 p.m. in the ongoing Enugu North Senatorial District by-election.

Speaking with journalists shortly after voting, Ugwuanyi commended the electorate for their peaceful conduct during the exercise.

He also praised the Enugu State Government and security agencies for ensuring adequate security, which he said created a conducive environment for voters to exercise their civic rights.

The former governor expressed optimism that the election would remain peaceful and credible, urging voters to continue to uphold orderliness and law-abiding conduct throughout the process.
