Ghana suspends all gun licences over public safety concerns

Ghana has suspended all registered firearm licences with immediate effect as the government moves to strengthen weapons control and address growing public safety concerns. Interior Minister, Muntaka Mubarak announced the decision on Monday, saying the suspension will allow authorities to conduct fresh mental health assessments and review compliance among firearm holders across the country.
