Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security operatives in the state.
The governor gave the assurance on Thursday while presiding over the weekly State Security Council meeting at the Government House in Gusau.
A statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said the meeting was attended by heads of security agencies operating in the state.
According to the statement, discussions focused on strengthening security presence in volatile areas and improving responses to emerging threats.
“Governor Dauda Lawal chaired the weekly Security Council meeting with renewed commitment to strengthening support for troops,” the statement said.
He assured security chiefs of his readiness to take all necessary measures to enhance the welfare and operational effectiveness of personnel deployed across the state.
The meeting also addressed key security concerns, particularly the need to reinforce troop deployment and improve rapid response mechanisms during emergencies.
Governor Lawal emphasised that ensuring the safety and security of Zamfara residents remains a top priority of his administration.
He further assured the heads of security agencies that his office would continue to remain accessible for collaboration and support in tackling security challenges across the state.
