Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has appointed eight new commissioners as part of efforts to strengthen his administration and enhance service delivery.
The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, announced the nominees on Wednesday in Lafia while reading a letter from the governor during plenary.
The nominees, according to the Speaker, are Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo from Wamba Local Government Area; Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed from Lafia LGA; Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu from Keffi LGA; Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga from Obi LGA; Adamu Rabecca Kpadji from Wamba LGA; Nawani Aboki from Doma LGA; Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim, FCNA, from Nasarawa LGA; and Ashefo Daniel Paul, PhD, from Lafia LGA.
The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to communicate the development to the nominees and request the submission of 30 copies of their curriculum vitae ahead of their screening scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026.
The appointment is subject to the successful screening and confirmation of the nominees by the State House of Assembly.
